Salsa Sabor Lessons

Want to learn how to dance Salsa?   Come early to Copacabana Salsa Nights and take our salsa lessons from 7:45-9:00pm.  Learn how to move and groove to the music as Salsa Sabor members teach you new techniques each week. A partner is NOT necessary, there is always a mix of men and women in our class and we rotate partners to help you learn faster.  Come out and learn to dance with us in a fun and friendly environment!  No partner, experience, or appointment is required.

We want you to have fun learning to dance salsa with us.  Each lesson starts with some basic footwork to help you practice salsa fundamentals. The footwork is your warm up before we separate into separate beginner level and intermediate level groups. Our beginner program focuses on teaching you one fundamental salsa technique each week. Come regularly and you will learn the basics of salsa allowing you to move up into the intermediate level lesson.   The Intermediate level teaches you a salsa combination you can use on the dance floor in a fun friendly manner.

A  minimal $5 fee for the lesson helps us bring you the best in NY On2 club style salsa instruction.   We use this money to help defray our operating expenses such as paying for this website, advertising materials,  printing costs, etc.   We are all volunteers and none of us gets payed to teach the Salsa Lessons.

Your Hooked on Salsa, you need more Salsa!

At this time, we only offer club lessons with the goal of introducing people to salsa as well as outreach programs at local colleges and universities.  It is certainly possible to learn to be a great salsa dancer by just attend our club lessons.  However, we are not a dance school in the traditional sense.  If you want to quickly master the skills needed to look good on the dance floor, seeking additional salsa dance instruction is recommended. With regular classes, often multiple times a week, a dance school that focuses on salsa instruction is a faster route toward mastering salsa and looking good on the dance floor.

If you are addicted to Salsa we encourage you to take lessons with some of the following schools:

The Way We Dance (Manchester, NH) - The only place we know of that is teaching NY Style On2 Salsa in New Hampshire.  JR is a supporter of Salsa Sabor and an active part of our community.  He's often on the dance floor at Copacabana Salsa Wednesdays.  If you want to learn and improve your salsa dancing  he's the guy to go to in the central NH area.  http://www.thewaywedance.com   or  his Facebook page

Masacote (Cambridge, MA)  -  The best salsa instruction available in reasonable driving distance.  Masacote's instruction program is top notch and second to none.  They will turn you into a professional dancer if you dedicate yourself to their instruction.  http://www.masacote.com/

Salsa y Control (Allston, MA) - Salsa Y Control teaches On1 salsa.  Leah and Andres are tons of fun and their instruction style makes it easy to quickly master complicated salsa patterns.  http://salsaycontrol.com/

These dance studios provide support for us and our endeavors, you can learn a lot of different types of dances with them if you are looking for dance instruction:

Let's Dance (Concord, NH) - Located on Main street in the heart of downtown Concord, Let's Dance Studios offers instruction in Salsa On1, or LA style Salsa.  http://www.letsdancenh.com/
